Lamborghini Aventador w/ Concave COR Encor Forged Wheels

Sharp, defined power and style.

The sharpest and hottest thing to come out of Italy in the past year is the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. The supercar takes performance and styling to the extreme, putting all 690 bhp from its all-new 6.5-liter V-12 to the pavement in a furious rage while it’s dramatic, wedge-shaped figure slices through air with its knifelike edges. It’s a perfect representation of the Lamborghini brand and with a set of concave COR Encor forged wheels, is a perfect supercar.

Cor WHeels Review present the Concave Design named ENCOR

State of the art technology and modern design is the name of the game with the Lamborghini Aventador, and the concave COR Encor forged wheels fit in perfectly with this blueprint for automotive success. Made using an advanced forging process from aerospace-quality aluminum alloy, the Encor wheels are at the forefront of performance, style, and quality. This process of forging removes any kind of imperfections that can form in the creation of the wheel and ensure premium quality and durability.

Encor Concave by Cor Wheels Review

The featured Lamborghini Aventador has found a happy medium between performance and style without being too overdone and excessive thanks to a stunning new fitment featuring COR Encor forged wheels. The wheels showcase a concave design that emphasizes the width and power of the Aventador. Each Encor wheel was given a fresh hand-brushed aluminum center with color-matched white lips to match the exterior of the supercar. The forged wheels were then installed in a staggered 20×9 front and 21×13 rear setup that accentuate the wedge-shaped, sharp figure of the Aventador. The final touch is a lowered suspension that makes sure the wheels sit snug with the body work and create a clean, smooth look.

Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport w/ Precise COR Wheels

American concave muscle.

The C6-generation Chevrolet Corvette has provided the automotive world with an impressive arsenal of performance ranging from the base model all the way up to the ZR-1 super car. In between, there’s the lightweight, high-powered Z06, and the oh-so-special Grand Sport.

The Corvette Grand Sport features all of the go-fast looks of its higher-priced siblings along with a few subtle performance enhancements that make it an exciting driving experience, especially when it’s paired up with a set of COR Wheels.

Wheels Performance was able to take one customer’s brilliantly Black Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport to a new level of style thanks to an upgraded fitment with COR Precise concave forged wheels. The entire Corvette, powered by a 430 horsepower 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 was dressed to the nines in a slick black suit. Not only was the entire exterior including taillights, side markers, and even front fender vents draped in the dark color but the wheels were as well, each wearing a smooth black finish.

But there was more to the upgraded fitment than just the black finish on the COR Precise wheels. Both the front and rear of the three-piece forged wheels feature a special concave design that creates a bold and muscular stance for the American super car. The front axle was fitted with a pair of the COR Precise wheels in a 19 x 10 setup while the rear was given a larger pair of 20 x 13s to create a muscular, staggered appearance that emphasizes the rear-wheel drive setup. To improve the grip with the wider footprint, new 285/30-19 and 345/25-20 performance tires were installed.

The Corvette Grand Sport may not be the fastest or most powerful model in the Corvette lineup, but with the COR Precise wheels, you can bet that it is the best looking.

Porsche unveils the new Cayenne Turbo S

The following is a guest post by Ryan Konko. Ryan Konko is an expert in the automotive industry and currently holds the position of Senior Motoring Editor at www.MotoringExposure.com. When Porsche entered the SUV game with its first-generation Cayenne model, it upset quite a few enthusiasts around the world. How could a sports car company produce an SUV? Blasphemy! While that debate still rages on to this day among Porsche purists, there’s no question that the Cayenne has some serious performance – especially the Turbo S model.

Now in its third generation, the Porsche Cayenne has enjoyed a great deal of sales success. The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is looking to build upon that success but this time with a bit more snarl than your average German SUV.

Underneath the hood of the new Cayenne Turbo S sits a 4.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, similar to those found in the Cayenne Turbo and Panamera Turbo models. But this engine is a bit different in the fact that Porsche was able to squeeze out an additional 50 horsepower and 37 lb-ft. of torque thanks to some of that German engineering magic. This pushes the total output of the Turbo S to 550 horsepower at 6,000 RPM and 553 lb-ft. of torque from 2,250 to 4,500 RPM. All of those ponies are sent through an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission to all four wheels and shoots the SUV to 60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph as Porsche Traction Management works to prevent the tires from losing grip.

So what good is all that power without that Porsche sports car chassis? Well, the new Cayenne Turbo S is no pig when it comes to the turns thanks to the host of standard electronic aids and already sharp suspension setup. The SUV’s air suspension automatically adjusts to different driving styles thanks to Porsche Active Suspension Management and keeps things glued to the road with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and its rear differential lock. A standard Porsche Dyanmic Chassis Control helps utilize active roll bars to stabilize the suspension through turns and eliminate a great deal of body roll that plagues most SUVs and crossovers.

Bringing this hulking powerhouse to a halt is a set of gigantic 15.4-inch front and 14.1-inch rear brake discs clenched by unrelenting calipers. But if owners want even more stopping power, they can check the box next to the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes for lightweight and fade free braking performance.

The exterior of the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S also has a bit of a harder edge than its siblings. New gloss black front air inlets help to redirect cool air to the two snails feeding boost pressure to the engine and the large set of front brakes. A new set of Porsche Dynamic Lighting System Bi-Xenon headlights give drivers better nighttime visibility thanks to its adjustable light range and feature matching gloss black housing. The standard 21-inch Turbo II wheels as featured on other Porsche models come standard, but COR Wheels can change that with a set of their own Porsche Cayenne wheels. The final touch is the “Turbo S” badge on the rear lift gate to differentiate the SUV from the rest of the lineup.

The interior features custom-tailored luxury that complements the turbocharged performance of the SUV. Owners will have two standard choices of leather color combinations with contrasting stitching along with alcantara accents throughout the cabin. Embroidered floor mats, illuminated stainless steel door entry sills, a unique dashboard plaque, and carbon fiber trim set help to make the cabin an exciting yet comfortable place to be.

Porsche hasn’t officially announced the MSRP of its new Cayenne Turbo S model, but it has said that deliveries will start in January of 2013. We’re guessing that it will cost a bit more than the Cayenne Turbo’s $108,750 price, think $120,000.

Nissan GT-R Featuring COR Encor Forged Wheels

New shoes for Godzilla.

The Nissan GT-R rocked the super car world with unrivaled performance and a Nürburgring lap time that blew the competition out of the water. The Specialized Performance Nissan GT-R is even more potent; packing an 800+ horsepower engine and aerodynamic bodywork. But, the real secret to the car’s success are the COR Encor wheels.

The new COR Encor wheels are more than just your average forged wheel. The Encor wheels undergo a unique weight reduction process that decreases the amount of rotational mass at the wheel hub without sacrificing strength. Each Encor wheel is subjected to  a thorough stress testing process to ensure the wheel is capable of handling the incredible forces exerted by high-horsepower cars.

The exterior of the Nissan GT-R was given a number of carbon fiber aerodynamic additions, but the highlight of the super car is the COR Encor wheels. Each wheel has been given a hand-brushed face with tinted clear coat finish and polished outer lip. This finish complements the contrasting white paint and bare carbon fiber bodywork, but also makes the Encor wheels stand out as the centerpiece of the GT-R. The front axle is fitted with a pair of 20x10s with 265/35/21 performance tires, while the rear features a wider set of 21x11s and 305/30/21 shoes.

What makes the fitment unique is that the Encor wheels can undoubtedly handle the upgraded power produced by the Specialized Performance GT-R. The 3.8-liter V-6 engine has been upgraded with the full range of HKS products, and a custom-built full exhaust system for an astonishing 817 horsepower at the wheels.

The Specialized Performance Nissan GT-R is every bit at home on the track as it is on the boulevard. While its immense power may shock some, its stunning COR Encor wheels will always remain as the center of attention.
