The Red Lamborghini Gallardo w/COR Focus Forged Wheels

Focused performance.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is the most successful model from the Italian automaker of all time, and there’s a reason for that. It offers an incredible amount of performance in a stunning exotic package with its sharp, trapezoidal lines with a iconic Italian wedge-shape design. It’s a Lamborghini classic, so COR Wheels Review took a page out of their Classic line and installed a set of their Focus model wheels.

For a car that has such a wedge-shaped figure with sharp lines and edgy contours, the COR Focus forged wheels were a perfect fit. Their clean, double-spoke design meshes perfectly with the design language while adding a unique style and character with a touch of performance.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is already at the top of the food chain when it comes to performance cars, and the COR Focus forged wheels only improve this aspect. The forged aluminum alloy that makes up the multi-piece wheels ensures that it is lighter and stronger than its cast aluminum counterparts. This weight savings leads to better braking, handling, acceleration, and even fuel economy (not that you’re worried about that as a Lamborghini driver).

But even if you’re all about dazzling looks and not performance, the COR Focus wheels give the Lamborghini Gallardo a touch of style that’s hard to match. A set of staggered 22 x 8.5 front and 22 x 11 rear wheels were fitted to the vibrant red super car and given a slick Gloss Black face finish with color-matched lips to complement the exterior color scheme. The finishing touch was a set of performance tires that guarantee maximum grip for the V-10 powerplant.

Looking this good with a 500+ horsepower V-10 and a set of COR Focus wheels has never been easier.

Lamborghini Aventador w/ Concave COR Encor Forged Wheels

Sharp, defined power and style.

The sharpest and hottest thing to come out of Italy in the past year is the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. The supercar takes performance and styling to the extreme, putting all 690 bhp from its all-new 6.5-liter V-12 to the pavement in a furious rage while it’s dramatic, wedge-shaped figure slices through air with its knifelike edges. It’s a perfect representation of the Lamborghini brand and with a set of concave COR Encor forged wheels, is a perfect supercar.

Cor WHeels Review present the Concave Design named ENCOR

State of the art technology and modern design is the name of the game with the Lamborghini Aventador, and the concave COR Encor forged wheels fit in perfectly with this blueprint for automotive success. Made using an advanced forging process from aerospace-quality aluminum alloy, the Encor wheels are at the forefront of performance, style, and quality. This process of forging removes any kind of imperfections that can form in the creation of the wheel and ensure premium quality and durability.

Encor Concave by Cor Wheels Review

The featured Lamborghini Aventador has found a happy medium between performance and style without being too overdone and excessive thanks to a stunning new fitment featuring COR Encor forged wheels. The wheels showcase a concave design that emphasizes the width and power of the Aventador. Each Encor wheel was given a fresh hand-brushed aluminum center with color-matched white lips to match the exterior of the supercar. The forged wheels were then installed in a staggered 20×9 front and 21×13 rear setup that accentuate the wedge-shaped, sharp figure of the Aventador. The final touch is a lowered suspension that makes sure the wheels sit snug with the body work and create a clean, smooth look.

The Carbon fiber Lamborghini Sesto Elemento gets the green light

20 carbon fiber Italian supercars.

At the 2010 Paris Motor Show Lamborghini made a statement in the automotive industry; a statement that literally didn’t carry much weight. The introduction of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento was the first time since the 1986 Lamborghini Countach Evoluzione that the Italian automaker built a car that weighed less than 1,000 kg (2,200 lbs.).

The Sesto Elemento Concept was well received by Lamborghini customers, fans, and the media. It showcased Lamborghini’s new design direction and dedication towards the research and production of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber. The supercar has a classic Italian wedge-shaped design with a modern technical twist, slicing through air with sharp edges and triangle features. The body of the Sesto Elemento is constructed from special carbon fiber made using nano-technology with microscopic crystals, and then covered with clear coat to create a glowing red shine. It was also a showcase of technology and lightweight composites that Lamborghini is currently developing ways to mass produce.

Carbon fiber and numerous other lightweight materials are used throughout the Sesto Elemento. The super car is built with a carbon fiber monocoque cell made using Forged Composite technology while the front frame, crash panels, exterior panels, and even propeller shaft, are made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). Even chassis components such as the control arms and wheels are made from the ultra-lightweight material to help bring the overall weight down to just 999 kg (2,197.8 lbs.). Lamborghini uses Pyrosic, a glass ceramic matrix composite, for the exhaust due to its low weight and 900-degree Celsius resistance.

Due to the extremely low weight, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is able to reach 62 mph in a mere 2.5 seconds. The mid-mounted powerplant making this possible is a 5.2-liter V-10 from the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera that sends 570 horsepower and 389 lb-ft. of torque to the lightweight all-wheel drive system. The 5.2-liter is lubricated by a dry-sump system which allowed Lamborghini to mount the engine lower, improving the center of gravity.

“The excellent feedback and the numerous requests we’ve had from our customers have really convinced us to embark on the challenge of producing a vehicle with unique characteristics,” said President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann. “We are proud that what a year ago was just a ‘technology demonstrator’ of future super sports cars, even though in working order, will become a small series reality. Only 20 units of the new Sesto Elemento super sports car will be produced, and will be destined only for track use. We’re planning to deliver the first cars at the beginning of 2013.”

The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento will be shown at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt. Only 20 examples of the superlight model will be produced, the first of which will be received by customers in early 2013. Pricing has not been released.
